Overview

Despite its small size, Nepal is home to an astonishing 9% of the world’s bird species, making it a true paradise for birdwatchers and ornithologists alike.

This dedicated birding tour will take you through several of Nepal’s most important bird areas (IBAs), offering you the chance to observe an incredible diversity of avian life in their natural habitats. Your journey will include key hotspots such as Godawari and Phulchowki, the lush jungles of Chitwan and Nawalpur, the wetlands of Koshi Tappu in the east, the sacred birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini, and the wild landscapes of Bardia National Park.

Each destination has been carefully selected to maximise your chances of sightings and to help build a rich record of Nepal’s remarkable birdlife.
