Itinerary

On arrival in Sandakan you will be met and transferred to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure.

Accommodation: Sabah Hotel or similar

Meals: None
After breakfast, board a boat for the short journey to Selingan Island. After checking in, you can enjoy swimming, snorkelling, or just relaxing in the sun. In the evening, you'll get the opportunity to see turtles laying their eggs on the beach (depending on the season). If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of newborns being released into the sea.

Accommodation: Turtle Island Rest House 

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
As soon as breakfast is finished, it is time to say goodbye to the turtles that live on the island and make your way back to Sandakan. Upon your arrival, you will be given a tour of the city that includes seeing the water village, the centre market, and the Buddhist temple. Transportation to the Sepilok Nature Resort, where you will spend the evening, will be provided after lunch.

Shortly after breakfast, you will make your way to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, where you will watch orphaned primates eating while on a boardwalk tour through the forest. As you make your way through the picturesque countryside to your lodge, you will embark on a river cruise in the late afternoon in search of wildlife.

Embark on a journey of discovery and compassion as you explore the sanctuary's wonders, leaving with cherished memories and a newfound commitment to wildlife conservation.

Today, you should get up early and pay attention to the calls of nature. Take a river cruise to observe the early morning activities of birds and primates as they go about their business. If the weather is favourable, you can go for a walk through the jungle before breakfast. Visit Gomantong Cave later on, which is famous for the edible bird's nests that can be found there. To get to the cavern, you will use the boardwalk.
A wildlife cruise will take place in the evening, during which you will have the opportunity to be lucky enough to observe the famed Proboscis Monkey dangling from the trees.

*Whilst boardwalk at Gamantong Cave is under repair, activity will be substituted with night cruise

After breakfast, head off towards the Mount Kinabalu area, where you’ll spend the night at the Sabah Tea Garden.  En-route stop at Kg Luanti for Fish Massaging and learn about the tagal fish conservation. After lunch, check in to your room and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may participate in blowpipe and batik painting at Sapaon Recreational Area or relax before dinner at Tea House.

Take an early morning walk to watch the dawn over Mount Kinabalu and the neighbouring tea plantations. After a tea factory tour, visit Poring Hot Springs for a plunge in the hot sulphur springs, followed by a canopy walk 100-200 feet above forest floor.

After visiting Kinabalu Park, have a guided nature hike along one of the many trails to learn about Borneo's animals and plants. Stay overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

After breakfast, a local guide will greet you and take you on a city tour. The city, historically known as "Singgahmata" or "the Place where the Eye Lingers," has recovered from WWII destruction to become a modern city with traditional attractions. The city has a variety of attractions, including the Wisma Tun Mustapha (Sabah Foundation Building), Sabah State and City Mosque, and Sabah Museum, which showcases the history and culture of the indigenous people.

After the tour, take a flight to Kuching, Sarawak's main city. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel for an afternoon of leisure.

Travel to Batang Ai, located 166 kilometres from Kuching City, via picturesque scenery with small towns, villages, padi fields, pepper farms, and oil palm plantations.

The land is interspersed with vivid jungles. The route becomes more winding and undulating as you travel deeper into the interior. Stop for lunch in Lachau, a little town on the route to Sri Aman.

After breakfast, take a motorised longboat to the Mengkak traditional longhouse for a blowpipe display and cultural performance. After lunch, enjoy a brief walk and return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
